Our Purpose
Bijou Theatre and Enrichment Center (BTEC) is a registered Maine non-profit corporation that purchased the historic building at 137 Main Street in Pittsfield, Maine on November 7, 2025. Its Directors intend to rehabilitate and open the formerly town-owned Pittsfield Community Theatre (aka Bijou) and create a space for Central Maine communities to enjoy the arts, including movies, live performances of many types, and more! BTEC was granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS in November 2025.
How you can help!
Our biggest need right now is to raise funds to cover the costs of insurance, utilities, and the initial repairs required to bring the building up to Code for fire safety and electrical.
We also need to make the necessary initial repairs to ensure the interior is environmentally healthy and safe for the public before we can consider opening the doors for events.
